The City of Oak Creek, WI Public Library

The Oak Creek Public Library opened in 1972. It has been serving the growing community of Oak Creek, Wisconsin since then.

The Oak Creek Library has much more than books.

Besides books, there are DVD’s, CD’s, video tapes, magazines and more. Recently, free Wi-Fi access was added in addition to the library computers with internet access.

The library is a department of the City of Oak Creek.

It is also a member of the Milwaukee County Federated Library System. This means you can request many materials from other Milwaukee County libraries and pick them up at the Oak Creek Library. You can also use the Milwaukee County Federated Library System website to check your records and even pay fines for late returns.

The Oak Creek Public Library as two main sections.

The adult section. The children’s section. The children’s section is separated and contains books, videos, and DVD that would interest younger children. There is a book drop on the East side of the library for after hours returns.

The South Milwaukee, Wisconsin Public Library.

The South Milwaukee Public Library has been in the community for nearly 100 years.

It now has not only books, but CD’s, video tapes, and DVD’s. Recently, free Wi-Fi access has also been added to its services. There are also meeting rooms and study rooms available for use. Fax service as well as black and white and color copiers. The South Milwaukee Library also has several public notaries on staff (call to be sure one is available).

The library is divided into two main sections.

The adult section is downstairs. The children’s section is upstairs. An elevator can be used for access to the upper floor children’s section or meeting rooms.

The South Milwaukee Library is a part of the Milwaukee County Federated Library System.

You can order materials from other member libraries and pick them up locally. You can also view your library record, renew items, and place reserves from the Milwaukee County Federated Library System Website. Additional online resources are also available. The link for the website is below.

The library is publicly funded.

Public funding currently only provides basic funding. The South Milwaukee Public Library Foundation has been created to help raise additional funds for the library. Funds are raised through gifts and donated book sales. For more information about the Foundation, you can call the South Milwaukee Public Library.
