Love the sign! Is there one on the other side of Wisconsin, traveling east from Minnesota on I94?
I'll be in Minneapolis next week and my new hobby is to get photos of me standing next to "Welcome to ..." signs from all 50 states. Sometimes i've taken backroads and the signs are not as impressive! The highway signs are the best :)

Thanks Eric. I used the term trolley as that is probably what most people would think to call it. It's interesting though: A trolley on a street instead of track and a streetcar on track instead of a street?

We hope to expand the streetcar line in the near future. There have been many discussions lately. By the way, the proper term is streetcar instead of trolley. A trolley is normally a vehicle with rubber tires instead of a track.

Maybe you can help me. I am a long ago resident and am now writing my autobiography and SM is part of my story. I have checked the SM library without luck and the current SM newspaper without success in finding a photo of the old St. John's Parochial school that stood on Marquette Avenue. I am hoping that your chamber might be able to help me or direct me to someone or organization that can. Is there a SM Historical Society?

I have left a phone message for the Divine Mercy Parish which I understand is the newer parish incorporating all the Catholic churches in SM. So all avenues are being tried.
