Jacob,
The website for the South Milwaukee Historical Society is:
http://www.southmilwaukee.org/historical_society/
I think Divine Mercy is still the same church but although I had friends that went to St. Johns I'm not real familiar with it otherwise.

Maybe you can help me. I am a long ago resident and am now writing my autobiography and SM is part of my story. I have checked the SM library without luck and the current SM newspaper without success in finding a photo of the old St. John's Parochial school that stood on Marquette Avenue. I am hoping that your chamber might be able to help me or direct me to someone or organization that can. Is there a SM Historical Society?

I have left a phone message for the Divine Mercy Parish which I understand is the newer parish incorporating all the Catholic churches in SM. So all avenues are being tried.

You don't need to purchase a pass or a token in advance to board the streetcar. Just pay the appropriate fare as you board; just like a city bus. Pick up the streetcar at any number of posted stops along the route; plenty of free street parking along those two miles. I agree with the prior post... Kenosha's electric streetcars are certainly a unique and fun attraction for our city!

Kenosha built America's first 21st Century streetcar system. At 11 am on dedication day, June 17, 2000, Richard Lindgren, an original Kenosha Electric Railway employee from 1932, was given the honor of operating the first car (No. 4610) on the brand-new line. Since then Kenosha has been the model for cities studying and building streetcar construction nationwide. Kenoshans are very proud of their streetcar system and hope to expand it further.
